Escape to the mountains
Chalet La Cachette is a luxury 10-person chalet, surrounded by nature and yet within easy reach of all the facilities that Châtel has to offer.
Literally next door to one of the best restaurants in Châtel, and less than a ten minute walk from the village centre, you’re right at the heart of everything Châtel has to offer, and yet surrounded by the serenity of the mountains.
Lake Vonnes is even closer, and you’ll find a ski-bus stop just 30 metres from the front door.
Rooms with a view
The large open plan living area has stunning views down the Abondance valley to one side, over Linga on the other, and beautiful tree-lined mountain views in between.
Two double bedrooms on the top floor share the same views as the living area, framed by high sloping ceilings.
The three basement bedrooms naturally have slightly less expansive views, but large windows mean each one catches glimpses of the surrounding mountains.

Warm, cosy and homely
Sink in to the sofa or one of the arm-chairs and warm yourself by the fire.
The living area is an inviting space to relax and share stories of the day’s adventures in the great outdoors.
Being open plan, you can be near to the action in the kitchen, or easily retire from the dining area.
Soak in the views
With plenty of shelter, the large south-west-facing terrace is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day out in nature. The terrace wraps around to take full advantage of all the views the chalet has to offer, from the Abondance valley round to Linga.
There’s plenty of space for everyone, with easy seating, a dining table and built-in benching for outside drinks.

And so to bed
There are five bedrooms at Chalet La Cachette. On the top floor, easily accessed from the entrance hall, there are two ensuite bedrooms with high sloping ceilings and balconies.
On the basement level, there are three further bedrooms, all of which can be configured as either twin or double beds. One of these is ensuite, and the other two share a large family bathroom equipped with a bath and separate shower. These bedrooms share a decked terrace and have easy access to the hot tub.
All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and bedside tables.
A separate space to chill
There is a separate TV room next to the living area, so it’s easy for different groups to watch different things, or to give the kids space to chill on their own.
Both TVs are smart and have access to free streaming services, or you can log in to your own accounts to access Netflix, Disney, Prime and more.
There are bluetooth speakers in both living spaces too, and the TV room has access to Internet radio.

Keep it low tech
Of course we have high speed wi-fi, but there’s plenty of provision if you want to unplug too.
You’ll find a selection of books about skiing, snowboarding, cycling and more on the bookshelves.
Or how about a game? We have a good selection of board games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained.
Rest and recharge
After a fun day on the slopes or in the saddle, we have the perfect way to relax.
There is a six-person sauna behind the utility kitchen, with an easy to use timer, so you can come home and head straight in.
Or why not soak in the seven-person hot tub on the basement deck, and take in the views of the Abondance Valley or Linga.

Enough for everyone
The chalet is equipped to cater for 10 people in comfort. The large kitchen has two full ovens along with a microwave and four plate induction hob.
As well as the fridge and freezer compartment in the kitchen, the separate utility room has another full size fridge-freezer as well as a second sink and the laundry facilities.
We have two raclettes and two fondues, so it’s easy to make sure everyone has enough.
